Many pleasant hours were spent with his Dad and brothers in Eastern Oklahoma fishing along with his other fishing buddies. While lost in a snowstorm in the mountains for three days with a couple friends they were assisted by some mountain people who later sold Charles 40 acres where he built a cabin, which he and Geneva enjoyed for over 20 years.
