If you are reading this you have probably read the book written about me with names changed, etc. The rest of that book is a combination of imagination and shit.
So, I got to thinking that I would take down my version of my story, mostly for my own amusement. Pace-Pallon named after the two lead colonists had been founded years ago by Terrans who were eager to attain genetic freedom. That is, they wanted to mess with human genes without all those pesky regulations. So, they left and settled the system with its 4 planets and small yellow sun. They had started out with the best of Terran technology to allow space travel, exploration, etc. Planetary defenses were minimal. We were an adequate system in the middle of nowhere. We were visited by Terran military vessels twice a year.

They came, checked in, then left unimpressed. We wanted to be left alone and we were. We had turned our eyes inward. I have been able to gather some personal logs, some journals and, occasionally, some official reports to help reconstruct certain things that happened.

Comfort did a great job refreshing our memories about who we met and what happened in the first Jane Pace story through the voice of Felix. While you don't have to read the first one, I find it helps set the stage for our girl Jane and her friends. There are points in the story where I scared the cat on my lap with my laughter.
