Bigfoot (GTA San Andreas)
I wasn't sure what to rate this; in the end I had far more criticisms than befitted a four star book but at the same time I couldn't put it down. Perhaps this is because of my connection with Northwestern Ontario and interest in Sasquatches. In the years I lived in Sioux Lookout, the subject came up from time to time and I did hear of sightings. I was once conducting a meeting where everyone got up and left, allegedly to check out a footprint.
Creature is wordy and didactic, and don't get me sta I wasn't sure what to rate this; in the end I had far more criticisms than befitted a four star book but at the same time I couldn't put it down.

Creature is wordy and didactic, and don't get me started on Canadians who finish every few sentences with "eh" and wise old whiskey soaked native people. And the characters don't in the end seem sympathetic - at all. Still the Sasquatch lore is interesting, the actual Bigfeet better characterized than the humans and the claustrophobic setting nicely rendered. Check this book out; it provides more than the average creature feature and if over ambitious you are left feeling something. In the midst of the confusion and chaos Hot Coffee created, internet forums and gamers were abuzz with rumors of a creature that inhabits the dark gloomy forests of the San Andreas countryside.
Almost immediately the existence of Bigfoot in GTA San Andreas became huge news and to an extent overshadowed the game itself. In the weeks following the re-released game, gamers went into the woods searching for the illusive creature.

Videos and screenshots that claim to depict the legendary Bigfoot saturated the web. Modders took notice and began to cash in on the hype, offering up Bigfoot mods for gamers to use to fool their friends. Full fledged hoaxing became a problem compounded by the notion that Bigfoot might have been removed in the relaunched edition of GTA San Andreas when the Hot Coffee Mod and other game files were dumped.

Nevertheless, the majority of video or photo evidence that proves Bigfoot's existence is either faked or a mod. The debate that Bigfoot exists in San Andreas is still active to this day. The existence of Bigfoot in GTA San Andreas has been the focal point of many internet-based rumors since the game was released in It is impossible to determine the start of these rumors.
However, in the brochure that came with the game, an individual named "Big Foot" is credited in the "Thanks To" section, although this is just a nickname for a Rockstar Games employee.

The same name can also be found in the manual for GTA Vice City , in the "Thanks To" section, but it still does not serve as any proof to lead towards Bigfoot. There are many supposed in-game references including evidence that supports that Bigfoot can be found. The whole idea of Bigfoot's existence fits nicely into the diverse world of the San Andreas countryside, especially its Flint County and Whetstone areas, with large virgin forests and "spooky" locations.
