Brocherts Crush Step 2: The Ultimate USMLE Step 2 Review

The qr codes in the book don't work, but the overall content is helpful to study for step 2. Its quick read after going over the related content in Step up. Cant use this book by itself though, not enough details. Quite a thorough book to be so thin. Definitely needed another review book for some additional "meat" for my studying, but this was an excellent complement to my thickest review book and kept me focused on the highlights and important points. Good book great for a fast review but they need to put more info. Not as comprehensive as I had initially hoped, but easy to read and very high yield.

I recommend this as an adjunctive guide to be read before actually studying. The format of the book is great. Nobody likes to miss easy questions, especially on topics that have been beat into us. This book is a great way to get through high yield topics for individual systems in a short period of time. Being this concise however, makes every word important. Some wording is also open to interpretation because it is not specific. So if you prefer paragraph format this is a good alternative.

I'm giving it 5 stars because after a day of Qbank it is nice to have a quick review to hit stuff again for the system I was working on. This book is short and to the point. It is divided into systems and specific topics. The author gives you specific situations where you will need to recognize information to get the question correct. It only contains high yield information.

It is not a comprehensive review. It does not teach you the background information on diseases, etc. This book is to use after you've already learned the pathophysiology of diseases and you are ready to answer questions about it.

The same author wrote both books; so you really don't need to read both. This is a book to use a few months before the exam. I really enjoyed reading this book and hope it gets me a great score on the exam. See all 21 reviews.
