Had bought this at an airport, and the cashier mentioned many travelers has been buying it as well. What an excellent autobiography about what matters most in one's life, as he struggles with overcoming depression. Very introspective and inspirational. What Jack and Winter both went through was incredibly tragic. The violence, the loss of family members and friends, the secret revelations and the lost time between themselves So devoted to his woman, hardworking, surrounded himself with THE best friends and loving family members, protective and of course, a hunka hunk of burnin' love. Winter was my kind of heroine as well. Feisty, bold, loyal and accepting are just some of the awesome qualities she had. Even amidst all of the heartache, she made me laugh.

I was on the verge of ragin' like a bull at the end but luckily, there were rays of sunshine that made their way through the darkness. Jack and Winter truly deserved their much desired HEA!! On to book five in the series, Texas Tornado, featuring James and Shiloh! I love second chance romances and Last Day of My Life is a second chance romance with a difference.

The book begins with a sudden and intense love between Jack and Winter. However, a traumatic event occurs and the reader is taken 7 years in the future when they meet again under stressful and unusual circumstances. This isn't a quick simple read, it's complicated and there are lots of characters to keep straight, but is well worth the effort.

Being book 4 in the Freebirds series doesn't take away I love second chance romances and Last Day of My Life is a second chance romance with a difference. Being book 4 in the Freebirds series doesn't take away from the readability of Last Day of My Life as a stand alone title. However, there are dynamics and characters leading up to this book that I wish that I was privy to before jumping into this one that probably would have helped me to keep the story line straight in my mind.

The only problem is that now I want to go back and read the books leading up to this one. Last Day of My Life has a complex story line, humor, action, and sexy steaminess. In addition to Jack finally getting his story, we do see all the rest of the Freebird crew. As each book builds on the last one, we see the building of not only the Freebird guys as a group but the entire group with their wives and kids as a true family. Jack is the perfect male and his love for Winter is one in a million. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good laugh, a good cry , steamy love scenes and alpha males taking down the evil men after their loved ones.

It was heartbreaking, yes, but it was also beautiful. I love reunion stories. I love second chances and fuck a duck, the story of this book really will be embedded in my memory for a long time, if not forever. Jack and Winter made their way to their happy the hard way. But they made it. And I am so happy for them. This book, by the way is NOT dark nor full of angst. Just heartbreaking, but you'll survive because there were lots of funny moments especially with the gang.

This a I loved this book.

This author surely knows how to balance a perfect badass reads. Also, many side characters are appearing and I'm hoping they will be part of another series. There are no discussion topics on this book yet.
