Our new releases have some amazing cover art - due in part to our illustrator, Jeff Hayes. He has done some amazing work! About to head on into an 11am recording session. Lots of fun recording this one, and the cast was wonderful. Lots of work ahead on this one, but it will be worth it in the end. Nolan, will be a guest on The Jordan Rich Show sometime soon. I'll let you all know when I have the date. Feeling a bit under the weather, so time to call it a day.

I was very happy with the recording session, and this one will be a lot of fun when it is released in This is a full length musical, and Jeff has written some incredible songs. This is a feature length stand alone we are making based on the comic series by Bluewater Productions. Production begins July 6th with a script by Gareth Tilley, and the release date set for June 12, That's all for now: Running a little over 3 hours, it's an accurate portrayal of the battle and the events surrounding it.

Recording will continue thru August and the new episodes will begin airing in the Spring of We haven't recorded an OZ story in 11 years, so this will be fun.

Prices' radio appearances over the years. We do not use his voice with fancy editing. Instead, we are dramatizing the stories from the comics and we try and capture the mood and feel of his movies.
She will also be appearing on his weekend radio show on WBZ. I'll post details as soon as I get them. Here is the line up for our Sirius XM Broadcast next week. Great new poster by Jeff Hayes. Salamoff is fantastic and without question this is one of our fastest moving productions, with the average scene lasting about 3 minutes. It's a roller coaster ride. Logan-6 has been trained to kill. Born and bred from conception to be the best of the best. Sorry, I am correct about Zorro. Also, something called Zorro: So CRT and Mr.
Your comment on CRT not casting Duncan Regehr reminds me of a write in campaign that was attempted when we announced the production. I will also add this comment reads almost exactly like some of the other posts I have seen, but under different names. I have to add my two cents here. Our original syndicator made the deal. This show is nothing more then an elaborate book on tape with most of the program being made up of a narrator and some dialog and described action scenes. Powder River on the other hand follows the basic concept of what makes a full cast audio work.
The shows tells its stories through the voices of the people, the music and the sound effects.

No omnipotent narrator is heard. There are a LOT of people who enjoy it. Thanks for the feedback. I made that choice to continue once we started doing full adaptations. In the end I chose to stick with a Narrator because it was working out better and because we had started the program with one. They were very cautious, he was their first foray into the business, and wanted to start with short stories why this was safer still makes no sense to me. My take, after some investigation, was that the actors were as good as any we could possibly hire, New York professionals who were doing film and TV and ads and theater every day.
The problem was the writing. Eventually, however, I convinced him that prose and performance were two completely different mediums and I convinced the people at Bantam to pay for writers, screen writers, film students, playwrights, myself … whoever we could get. Some were better than others. Same with the Western genre.
Both reduce the IQ of writers phenomenally. Getting good scripts was very challenging. So, anyway, the sources of scripts, transcript and adaptation, are all mixed up in time … there is no one moment when we clearly changed over. Though I worked on many shows in many different roles I am particularly proud of Merrano of the Dry Country and though the sound effects production is wimpy Unguarded Moment.
The last program we did came out in and is called Son of a Wanted Man. It is longer and I like it even more. I freely admit that if I could always achieve my storytelling and acting performance goals while NOT using a Narrator I would accept it as the higher expression of art. We all approach projects differently. We are still producing material, albeit at a vastly slower pace.
We are currently working on our first non western since Unguarded Moment 20 years ago. Your email address will not be published. Notify me of follow-up comments by email. MJ Elliott will be dramatizing the book. You can read the book on Amazon! A long production summer most of it during a heat wave with this series that had its premiere on Sirius XM Dec. The episodes are now in post production and we plan to release Series 3 Eps in October, and series 4 Eps shortly after; alas, with the demise of Book Radio on XM, they will premiere as downloads - not broadcast.
Interview With a Modern Radio Star – The Great Detectives of Old Time Radio
Thursday, August 08, This'nThat. Busy week; wrote four new episodes of POWDER RIVER in the past week - each in one sitting, just like the old days of course, the one sitting lasted about 16 or 20 hours, depending on the show - but the words and scenes just flowed out; which I am sure is because the characters are so well defined after all the episodes we've done, that their actions just happen naturally now. I remember struggling through seasons 1 and 2, and even 3 and 4 were a chore at times Feeling productive at the moment! I am not writing all this to brag - far from it.
The scripts may be lousy for all I know; the point I'm trying to make is, they didn't cost me my nervous system to finish them. Clearmont, WY has never been so busy! I wonder if we have any listeners in Clearmont? Not sure if we're coming back - at the moment I would say no, but we'll see how the series goes over with everyone. Thats all for now! Monday, August 05, Monday, Monday. The writer of the original comic our show is based on, Scott Davis, will make a cameo.
Should be a fun production! We roll in August and the production will be released in Tuesday, July 30, Keeping busy.
