Nov 19, Kate Worth rated it it was amazing. This is a cozy, sweet romance about Kate, a woman who is ready to take the next step with her commitment phobic boyfriend James. She comes up with a plan to force the issue on a long ski weekend with her best friend Judith and Judith's on-again off-again boyfriend who also happens to be James' younger brother Paul. James and Judith both end up working, leaving Kate and Paul all alone in a cozy ski cabin for the long weekend. The pair have never liked each other. They constantly take pot shots and trade mild insults. But over the course of several days they discover they actually like one another a great deal. Attraction blossoms, and you'll have to read the book to find out how they handle the difficult position in which they find themselves. Winter Interlude is well-written and I enjoyed taking the journey to love with Paul and Kate. Dec 15, Kylara Jensen rated it it was ok Shelves: This book could have benefited from another editing pass or two. The two main people often mirror each others thoughts and it gets repetitive.
There is too much time spent on skiing and other mundanities. The "banter" and "flirting" was awkward to the point of not even being flirty banter. HEr flirty language is so inappropriate but it's turning me on. I'll ignore the sudden This book could have benefited from another editing pass or two.
I'll ignore the sudden weekend attraction between the 2 supposed enemies with no mention that their previous "enemy-ship" was obviously sexual tension. Basically long and repetitive and not really worth reading.

Nov 27, Jennifer Mitchell rated it really liked it. I really enjoyed this book. I felt like she did a great job not skipping over or rushing the scenes or emotions. I enjoyed the heartfelt story and decided to buy the second book. Mar 07, Anna rated it it was ok Shelves: I gave up on this book due to a vastly differing worldview that made it almost painful to read.
See a Problem?
The main storyline is: Maybe a couple of hundred years ago, marriage was so important for the survival of a woman that it was worth messing up relationships for, but I don't really think it is any more. The wr I gave up on this book due to a vastly differing worldview that made it almost painful to read. The writing is fine, though, if you can overlook the obsession with getting married at all costs.
Dec 11, Mimi Barbour rated it really liked it Shelves: Winter interlude is a slow, easy story about two people who find that rather than disliking each other as they always believed, when forced to spend time in close proximity, there are sparks flying everywhere. Oct 27, Mona rated it really liked it Shelves: Sandy Loyd has a knack for delivering the messy, twisted, emotional ups and downs that make up real life. Trying to find the right person to spend one's life with isn't always easy and neat, nor is it a simple matter of choice.
Winter Interlude gives us the good, the bad, and the ugly of it, and you'll find yourself drawn to the characters.

Do NOT start reading this book late at night unless you plan to sleep in the next day. Mar 23, Tina Hayes rated it it was amazing Shelves: Sandy Loyd's "Winter Interlude" is a romance novel that makes a great weekend read. Kate finds herself stuck in a sky resort with her boyfriend's brother Paul, who happens to be dating her BFF.
Circumstances keep the other two from joining them as they had planned, and since Kate and Paul can hardly stand each other, they focus on the skiing. I really enjoyed this book and definitely want to check out more of Sandy Loyd's novels.
Mar 28, Judy rated it really liked it. Sandy packed a lot into this romantic tale. The characters reflect people I've met and known in my own life. I enjoyed her treatment of the relationship interactions, even where a couple seemed too fast, too strong. Though rare, perhaps, the choices the characters make are believable. I can also say that I spent more time in the gym than planned because I didn't want to stop reading. Jan 03, Cristina Kiefer rated it really liked it. Jul 10, Julie Smith rated it really liked it.

This was a good book, it did start out slow but picked up after the second chapter. I did enjoy it and had a hard time putting it down once it got going. Oct 11, Kathleen Baker rated it it was amazing. This is a wonderful romance novel. Totally enjoyable to read. Nov 26, Rawcliffe rated it did not like it. The worst thing I've ever read This was worse than terrible - no story, repeated itself constantly, boring, badly written. Also the "plot" if it can be called that, was totally unrealistic.
I don't know how or even why I finished reading it. Whatever I paid for it was too much - I certainly wouldn't want to read any others in the series. Parts of it were so terrible I laughed e. Sorry, but jus The worst thing I've ever read This was worse than terrible - no story, repeated itself constantly, boring, badly written. Sorry, but just utter drivel Jan 23, Leta McCurry rated it liked it.
This is a good pass-the-time read. With two brothers and two best friends, none of them knowing what they really want most of the time, this is a love quadrangle rather a triangle. I was particularly frustrated with the character, Kate and frequently wanted to slap her upside the head.
It is a quick read but it would have been even shorter if some of the foolishness with Kate making up her mind was cut. It is well written and as I said, a good pass-the-time read. Mar 31, Sylvia rated it did not like it. I finished this book only to see if it got better and sadly, it didn't. It's one of the books when you wish they'd just have sex and get it over it but then, I guess, there would be nothing else to write about. Apr 30, Anna Lee McNeil rated it really liked it. I really enjoyed this book and the interesting concept of two brothers and two best friends being involved in the storyline.
Mar 30, Neela rated it it was ok. Tbh I got bored. Got to said roadtrip and it just seemed like I knew what was going to happen. Feelings set in stone miraculously change within hours and it just seemed unrealistic.

I would've preferred more of a payoff than a 2 paragraph epilogue. Otherwise, it was pretty good. The characters lame and immature. The book is very good. Overview Music Video Charts. I really enjoyed this story! Well-written and great narration. I can't wait for book 2! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
The fact that I was gifted this book had no influence over my opinion of it. Characters were well developed and interesting. Carol Dines did an amazing job with the narration.
